flex7’s lighting connection system was installed throughout the £42.5 million project in Glasgow.

The multi-million project consists of an 8-lane swimming pool and a 20m pool with movable floor, 8-court games hall, Sauna and steam vitality room, Hydrotherapy pool, Gym and high and low intensity studios, state of the art spin room, 2 squash courts, wet and dry changing facilities and a café. There is also a new support facility created for adults with learning disabilities which includes flexible meeting rooms, quiet spaces, physiotherapy treatment rooms, kitchen facilities and dance and music rooms.

Over 300 lighting distribution boxes, and approx. 2000 Luminaire leads were installed on the project. Starter Distribution Boxes were provided in 2, 4 ,6 ,8, 10 and 12-way variations and Expansion Distribution Boxes in 2, 4, 6, and 8-way variations. Once an initial termination has been made luminaire leads simply plug into the outlets on Starter Lighting Distribution Box to provide power. An Expansion Box can be used to expand the capacity of a Starter Dsitribution Box and provide extra socket outlets. The boxes can either be plugged directly into a Starter Distribution Box or connected via an Expansion Lead.

Use of our Project Packing Service meant that all products were delivered to site carefully boxed and labelled on a room-by-room basis.
